Sat 31 December, TA Araroa  91

Left Anna Saddle 2041km arrived Boyle Village 2060km (19km)
Another early  start at 6:15, maybe no longer early as its becoming the norm. Crossed three swing bridges today and passed an old hut Rokeby Hut which I didn’t bother to have a look at.

Another great day, grass was very wet and within an hour my boots were filled with water. My knee is giving me problems probable my own fault  for pushing it so hard yesterday.

But today I’ll take things a little easier  and maybe tomorrow I’ll have a zero day and just relax.

I had two major  stops along the way and just having a 10-15 minute break made a big difference  to my knee.

This segment  of the track is well used by people that want to do a four day hike and during one of my breaks, three elderly  woman also stopped  and they were interested in my hike on the TA. Then invited me for evening meal at the Boyle lodge.

I’m physically  exhorted, I haven’t felt so tired from walking for a long time, got in touch with Tony and he will drive up tomorrow and spend the night tenting here

The plant above looks like the type that the Koreans eat which I sore in korea.
